The Kyi-Leo is of US descent, a cross between the Maltese and Lhasa Apso. It is a rare breed with fewer than 500 registered breed dogs. It is almost strictly a companion dog, preferring indoor living and a spot close to its master or family. Its small stature houses a cat-like agility, along with a fun loving , giddy nature. It also makes a good watch dog with a tendency to be wary of strangers.

The Kyi-Leo has a high overall intelligence rating, with above average problem solving skills, and an above average ability to learn and obey commands. It makes a wonderful pet, mixing very well with children.

The Kyi-Leo had a coat of long, full, wavy fur that does shed, and requires ongoing grooming to keep the long hair free of knots and tangles.

The Kyi-Leo’s coat is either black/white or gold/white. This happy, fast learning breed grows to a height of 12 inches and weighs up to 20 pounds.
