The Bearded Collie breed dogs were created in Scotland by crossing Polish Lowland Sheepdogs and local farm collies. It is one of the most well known shaggy dogs, and can often be mistaken for an Old English Sheep Dog.

The Bearded Collie breed dogs are happy, playful and good around children.It is a very people oriented dog that hates being alone.They have an above average ability to learn and obey commands, while being good problem solvers.These breed dogs can adapt to either living indoors or outside, but they are a very high energy dog that require daily exercise.

The Bearded Collie breed dogs have a heavy coat of straight, dense fur that should never be brushed. Their coat usually displays a variety of colors: black, gray, brown or blue with or without white markings.
