The Bedlington Terrier originates from England and got its notoriety as a ratter. A popular dog among the miners, beginning in the early 1800’s, who used it for ridding their mine shafts of rodents.They possess a typical aggressive terrier spirit.

The Bedlington Terrier’s coat is comprised of a hard and soft mixed hair, that tends to curl, and does not shed. It needs regular clipping, a weekly combing and regular daily exercise. It’s coat is blue, tan, sandy and liver, with varied combination of these colors.

The Bedlington Terrier has a long neck and arched back, giving it a lamb-like appearance. It weights from 17-23 pounds and grows to a height of 17 inches
