Borzoi

The Borzio was created from Asiatic greyhounds during the 15th century of the rein of Ivan the Terrible. It was used to hunt wolves due to its speed and strength. As the breed has developed over the years it has become primarily a pet, adapting well to either the indoors or outdoors.

The Borzio’s long stately head gives a noble appearance, that goes along with its calm and gentle temperment. It blends well with children, making a good pet for someone with abundant space. It is loyal to its master, but can be stand-offish with strangers. It has a high intelligence level, as well as above average problem solving abilities, and is above average at learning and obeying commands.

The Borzio lives to run and play course games, requiring regular daily exercise. It has a coat of medium length hair that is silky with waves or curls, with coloring from white and tan to white and black. It does shed and requires a regular daily grooming.
